Throw back to my Berklee College of Music years! It was such an honor to be selected as a student panelist and performer for We Move in Color as we dove deep into the role of music and the arts within Black culture. Throughout history music has been much more than entertainment, it's been a tool of advocacy and change. From Billie Holiday to Kendrick Lamar, artists continue to use their platforms to remind the world that we are human, we deserve to live, and we deserve, we deserve to be celebrated and we especially a seat at the table. Louisiana born artists, Mykia Jovan, wrote 16 Shots that portrays just that.
